The "Body"
Hawker has been trying to get to the bottom out this "body found on the Avenue yesterday" rumor all day.
The only fact that seems not to be under dispute is that a large pool of blood was discovered on the sidewalk in front of the Golden West early yesterday morning.
One source claims emphatically that as he drove down the Avenue just before 7 a.m., there were two fire trucks on the scene and a body.
Then, there's this report. I offer it with no comment.
Baltimore Crime claims there was no body (but offers no support for the denial.) The comment section offers you loads of Hampden hate--so that's special.

I didn't say there was no body.
I said that all is substantiated was that there was some blood, a commentor added he had seen a body.
In "comments" I noted that the Northern District police said that no one had informed them of an incident, and two Sun reporters also confirmed that they had not heard of any criminal incident.
Most likely it was a non-criminal incident: someone had a seizure or hurt themselves somehow.
But unless the bleeder or his/her relative or an anonymous paramedic somehow tells the world what happened, we'll probably never know!
I didn't see anyone hating on Hampden in the comments section, I wonder what you're referring to?

Well . . . you did write:
"There was no, I repeat, no murder in Hampden yesterday!" and "no battered corpse has been found in Hampden for almost an entire two weeks (that we know of)."
which does sound a bit there was no body to be found in front of the Golden West yesterday!
The joke that 1200 people in Hampden are sexually offensive is what I meant (and the original estimate of 1200 sex offenders in 21211, which appears now to have been deleted.)
Look, Hawker doesn't mean any disrespect to a fellow blogger by just trying to gather the facts of the "case" (such as it may or may not be.) I think we both agree that what really happened will probably never be known. Your post just read to me like you were saying there was no body, and it seemed pertinent to note that there was no specific support for such an assertion. That's all. No disrespect intended.
I have one eye witness who confirms there was a body and another very reliable source who confirms it was taken, still alive, to Union Memorial.
The sheer volume of blood that we ourselves witnessed suggests much more than a seizure or fall.
