Hawker interrupts snow news to bring you this.
I'm not sure what the lesson is here. A woman was apparently attacked on a city bus (there's some dispute about the bus line) leaving Hampden and then dragged out the back door of the bus and beat up on the street (again, the exact location is unclear.) The woman was attacked by a group of Robert Poole Middle School students.
Am I supposed to believe from the mother of one of these students that sometimes it's ok for a group of kids to jump an adult and beat her into the hospital?

this is so effed up! i hope it's not any of the boys i did cannonballs with this summer at the pool...really, i doubt it is. i'm pretty sure i can guess which riff raff these boys are.
"But I can't see these kids jumping on anyone for no reason."
Clearly this mother doesn't know her kids. So sad.

As a former Baltimore City schools middle school teacher, I can't say I am surprised by the mother's reaction. I saw that all the time.
And did you notice they were all 14 to 15 years old? They should be in the 10th grade, not middle school!
The attack occurred on the bus stop at the corner of Chestnut Avenue & W 33rd St. If you did cannonballs this summer at the Roosevelt Pool, I seriously doubt these are the same children. Hampden children do not take the bus home from school. They walk.
